Karisimbi Cave Resort was founded by Aline Ishimwe with two powerful motivations. First, to empower women by creating a space where women can access jobs, receive training, build confidence, and pursue leadership and bigger dreams. The resort actively supports women through employment opportunities and skills development in hospitality, agriculture, and tourism.
Second, the vision was to create affordable luxury accommodation for travelers visiting northern Rwanda. Guests enjoy comfort, nature, and authentic experiences without losing the warmth and accessibility of local hospitality.
Our Experience At Karisimbi Cave Resort, guests enjoy: Comfortable eco-friendly accommodation A farm-to-table restaurant featuring fresh local ingredients Cultural and agritourism experiences Easy access to adventures around Volcanoes National Park and Musanze Caves Sustainability & Ethical Commitment Sustainability guides our operations. We use local materials, promote organic farming, and support local suppliers.
Cage-Free Commitment:
Karisimbi Cave Resort proudly commits to sourcing 100% cage-free eggs, ensuring humane treatment of hens and supporting ethical poultry farming. This initiative aligns with our broader mission to reduce our carbon footprint, minimize food waste, and contribute to climate change mitigation.
By integrating cage-free practices with our organic farm-to-table approach and job creation for women, we aim to protect animal welfare, nurture the environment, and strengthen our community.
